Kalshi Expands MLB Presence With 5-Team Partnership Package
Prediction-market platform Kalshi signed multiyear brand partnerships with the Braves, Red Sox, Dodgers, Padres, and Giants, bringing the total number of MLB teams with prediction-market partnerships to seven. The deals include in-stadium signage and venue naming rights despite ongoing litigation and congressional criticism.
Kalshi, a prediction-market platform, signed exclusive multiyear brand partnerships with the Braves, Red Sox, Dodgers, Padres, and Giants, per Front Office Sports reporting. The deals bring the total number of MLB teams with prediction-market agreements to seven as of late August 2026, less than six months after Polymarket became the exclusive prediction-market partner of Major League Baseball.
Kalshi will be featured on in-stadium signage, in social media posts, and in other promotional channels across the five teams, according to Front Office Sports. The Dodgers partnership includes renaming the Gold Glove Bar at Dodger Stadium the Kalshi 435 Club, per the reporting. The Red Sox, Dodgers, and Giants issued their own press releases confirming the agreements, according to the outlet. The Braves and Padres did not respond to requests for comment, per Front Office Sports.
Red Sox EVP and chief marketing and partnerships officer Troup Parkinson said, per Front Office Sports, "Our shared commitment to innovation and excellence makes this partnership a natural fit, while creating new opportunities to engage Red Sox fans across Fenway Park and through our digital and broadcast channels." Dodgers SVP of global partnerships Lorenzo Sciarrino told Front Office Sports, "The Dodgers are always looking for innovative ways to connect with our fans, and Kalshi represents an exciting new category." Giants SVP of partnerships Steve Tseng said per the reporting, "Creating unmatched experiences for our fans is a top priority, and we're excited to work with Kalshi to deliver on that commitment."
Kalshi claims baseball-related trading volume on its platform is 36 times higher than a year ago, according to Front Office Sports' reporting of company statements. The platform's head of sports partnerships, Adam Barrick, said per the outlet, "The idea is that fans are already engaging with their favorite teams on Kalshi, so it only makes sense to extend that fandom to some of the most beloved baseball teams in America."
The expansion comes amid political and legal headwinds. Sports-event contracts from Kalshi and other prediction-market platforms are the subject of numerous lawsuits winding through the U.S. court system, with several states arguing the platforms should be treated as traditional sports betting subject to state regulation, per Front Office Sports. MLB received significant backlash to the Polymarket deal. Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D., Conn.) told Front Office Sports, "It is astonishing and appalling that Major League Baseball would, in effect, be complicit in this."
Not all teams are participating. Front Office Sports reached out to every MLB team to ask about prediction-market plans. Representatives for the Guardians, Nationals, Phillies, and Rockies told the outlet those teams do not have any prediction-market partnerships. About three weeks before Kalshi's announcement, the Yankees signed a deal with Polymarket through the rest of the 2026 season, per Front Office Sports. Roughly one week before the Yankees deal, the Mets became the first MLB team to sign a multiyear exclusive agreement with Novig, another prediction-market platform, according to the reporting.
A source familiar with commercial partnerships for teams in one of the big four North American sports leagues told Front Office Sports, per unconfirmed sourcing, "If teams were worried about fan sentiment, they wouldn't do the deals." The Red Sox, Dodgers, and Braves began rolling out their activations, including through signage at games and sponsored emails, ahead of the official announcements, per Front Office Sports reporting.
Kalshi now has exclusive partnerships with one-sixth of MLB's 30 teams, with seven clubs total across the league holding prediction-market deals as of late August 2026, just six months after Polymarket became MLB's exclusive prediction-market partner.
Seven MLB teams now hold prediction-market partnerships in a market that did not exist at scale six months ago, signaling rapid commercial acceptance of a product under legal challenge. The question to watch is whether the regulatory status quo holds or if court rulings and state action force teams to unwind sponsorships.
