Privacy policy

What this site actually collects, which is very little, and where the little goes. No accounts, no ads, no cookies set by us.

The newsletter

If you sign up for the daily brief, the email address you submit is stored by Netlify Forms, the form service of our hosting provider. We use it only to send the newsletter. We do not sell your email address, and we do not share it with anyone else. Every issue includes an unsubscribe option, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Analytics

We measure traffic with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It is a cookieless beacon: it counts page views and referrers in aggregate and does not build profiles or track you across other sites. Cloudflare processes those requests under its own privacy policy.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify's infrastructure sees standard request data (your IP address and browser user agent) and keeps its own server logs under its own privacy policy. We do not receive or store that data ourselves.

Fonts

Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so your browser makes a request to Google when a page loads. Google processes font requests under its own privacy policy.

Every story links its sources. Once you leave this site, the site you land on operates under its own privacy policy.

Questions about this policy, your data, or the newsletter, including unsubscribe requests: desk@gocheckmysports.com. A human reads it. If you want to know what we hold about you (for subscribers, that is your email address) or want it deleted, email the same address and we will handle it promptly.

Changes

This policy changes only when the site's behavior changes, and the date below moves when it does. Last updated July 19, 2026.
