USA defeats France for fifth consecutive Women's World Cup gold, September 13

The USA women's basketball team won the FIBA World Cup gold medal against France on September 13, according to Yahoo Sports. The victory marks the team's fifth consecutive World Cup title. Breanna Stewart was named tournament MVP. Stewart led the team in both points and rebounds in the medal rounds. She has compiled four college titles, four World Cup gold medals, and three EuroLeague titles. She co-founded the Unrivaled 3-by-3 league and holds an Unrivaled championship. Clark was drafted by Indiana and Reese by Chicago, two franchises separated by less than 200 miles with an established rivalry. Both are on title contenders with a real shot of meeting in the first round, according to Yahoo Sports.
