USA cricketer Reddy banned eight years for match-fixing in T10 League

Bodugum Akhilesh Reddy, a 26-year-old United States cricket international, has been banned from all forms of cricket for eight years after the International Cricket Council Anti-Corruption Tribunal found him guilty of match-fixing, per BBC Sport.

Reddy breached three counts of the sport's anti-corruption code during the Abu Dhabi T10 League in the United Arab Emirates in 2025, according to BBC Sport. The tribunal found Reddy guilty of attempting to fix, contrive, or otherwise influence improperly the result, progress, conduct, or other aspect of matches in that competition.

Beyond the match-fixing charge, Reddy was found guilty of two additional violations. He encouraged another participant to engage in match-fixing, according to BBC Sport. He also obstructed the investigation through deletion of data and messages from a mobile device, BBC Sport reports.

Reddy made his USA debut against Cayman Islands in April 2025 and had compiled four T20 appearances for the country before the ban. He competed on the Aspin Stallions side during the Abu Dhabi T10 League, a team that also featured former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh and England cricketers Sam Billings. The Stallions reached the T10 final in 2025.

The ban has been backdated to November 21, 2025, when Reddy was provisionally suspended after making two appearances in the T10 League, per BBC Sport. The identity of the other participant whom Reddy allegedly encouraged to engage in match-fixing has not been disclosed by the tribunal.
