Eagles linemen Ojomo and Johnson scuffle during final preseason practice

Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Moro Ojomo and offensive tackle Fred Johnson fought during team drills on Thursday, August 13, marking the 11th day of training camp. The altercation unfolded on the field's final competitive period before the Eagles' preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

According to ESPN's reporting, the dust-up started when Ojomo took exception to a late shove by Johnson and squared up. Coaches decided to keep both players in for the next play. Johnson then blocked Ojomo to the ground and landed on him with his full weight, at which point punches were thrown before the two separated.

Ojomo found his way through a crowd and dove at Johnson's knees, bringing the 6-foot-7, 326-pound Johnson to the ground. Players and staff jumped in to separate the two as the altercation intensified.

General manager Howie Roseman, head coach Nick Sirianni, and chief security officer Dom DiSardo gathered around an animated Johnson to help calm him down. Roseman met with Ojomo before talking further with Johnson post-practice for about five minutes as the offensive lineman sat on blocking pads. Team drills were halted after the fight. After a group huddle to reset, the Eagles finished with a less competitive developmental period.

Before Thursday's session, Sirianni said: "I'm just so excited to see all the guys compete. At the end of the day, this business is for people that are ultracompetitive, and it's always good to go against somebody else. Sometimes at this point of camp, you're like, Man, I just want to hit somebody else and go against somebody else."
